The Script Tour End With Impressive Show At Boston

In support of their self-titled debut album closing out the final tour of America The Script arrived in Boston on Sunday where they perform a impressive set of pop-rock gems that had the adoring crowd singing and dancing.

The Script started their tour with opening for Adele at the Orpheum Theatre and at the Paradise Rock Club and the House of Blues with sold out headlining gigs. In Boston there had been lots of Irish fans but the band performs on-stage considering of all ages and backgrounds with what they are calling “Celtic soul”, a fusion of pop-rock and R&B elements. On Sunday, The Script delivered a show that made it enjoyable for all.

The band’s set was lean, a quick 13-song/75-minute set, with no filler. They did test a few newbies with the Science & Faith‘s title track proving to be the most notable. For the most part though, it was about the crowd favorites and the sing-alongs that came with each. “Man Who Can’t Be Moved”, the band’s fist single and breakthrough hit, was accompanied by the biggest sing-along of the night as O’Donoghue began the song acapella before the band joined in for a full-throttle run through. The response from the crowd left the band in awe as O’Donoghue admired at its conclusion, “Thanks….a very humbling experience”.
